200-Hour Ashtanga Vinyasa & Yin Yoga Teacher Training

This intensive residential programme from Yoga Chaitanya International Institute blends two complementary yoga traditions—dynamic Ashtanga/Vinyasa and contemplative Yin, to produce teachers who are skilled, versatile and integrative. The course typically spans 23 days and meets Yoga Alliance RYS® 200 standards.

Course Overview

Over 23 days, you’ll journey through strength, flexibility, and awareness training — learning to balance “effort and ease” in every aspect of teaching.

1. Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga:
You will learn the Primary Series as taught by K. Pattabhi Jois — understanding each posture’s alignment, transitions, bandhas, and Drishti. The training includes modifications and anatomy-based adjustments to make the practice accessible to all levels.

2. Yin Yoga Module:
A complementary deep-dive into long-held floor poses, fascia release, and meridian theory based on Traditional Chinese Medicine. This module explores how stillness and surrender balance the nervous system and create emotional resilience.

3. Anatomy & Alignment:
Modern biomechanics meets yogic wisdom — understanding the musculoskeletal system, safe cueing, and the functional differences between individual bodies.

4. Philosophy & Lifestyle:
The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, Hatha Yoga Pradipika, and Bhagavad Gita form the philosophical backbone of this course. The teachings focus on applying ancient ethics to contemporary life.

5. Pranayama & Meditation:
Daily practice of breath control, kriyas, mantra chanting, and mindfulness meditation techniques develop focus and internal clarity.

6. Teaching Methodology:
Learn how to design multi-level classes, give effective verbal cues, sequence balanced sessions, manage classroom energy, and build confidence as a teacher.

7. Practicum & Assessment:
Each trainee leads multiple classes under expert supervision — ensuring readiness to teach Ashtanga Vinyasa, Vinyasa Flow, and Yin Yoga globally.

8. Self-Healing Swadhaya Meditation Module: During the last week, you will experience different meditations and healing techniques. You will go through a questionnaire that will help you understand yourself in depth. This will help you heal and develop better relationships with yourself and others.

Why this program matters
In a yoga landscape that often polarises between high-intensity flow and slow-moving therapeutic work, this training offers a bridge. Trainees emerge able to teach a full spectrum—empowering, energetic practices as well as calm, restorative sessions. Many report a heightened capacity to serve both mainstream students and those needing gentler adaptation.

  • Persons looking to evolve their practice beyond exercise and into teaching skill, embodiment and conscious service.

Certification:
Graduates earn the 200-Hour Yoga Alliance USA Teacher Certification, enabling registration as RYT-200 worldwide.

Outcome
Graduates earn the 200-hour certification, qualify for registration as RYT® 200 with Yoga Alliance, and are equipped to teach multi-level classes, adapt sequences for diverse bodies/imprints, and hold space for students with a refined sense of alignment, energy and presence.

200-Hour Yin Yoga & Meditation Teacher Training

The Yin Yoga & Meditation Teacher Training offered by Yoga Chaitanya is a 23-day immersion tailored to the contemplative, intelligent yoga practitioner. This immersive course is for seekers drawn to introspection, mindfulness, and deep stillness. It blends Yin Yoga, Mindfulness Meditation, and Laughter Yoga, creating an inner-to-outer transformation that integrates emotional, physical, and energetic healing. This Yoga Training will enable new teachers to guide stillness, introspection and healing with confidence.

Course Highlights
1. Yin Practice & Functional Anatomy:
Learn the science of fascia, connective tissue, and meridian flow. You’ll understand how to hold postures safely for 3-5 minutes, using gravity, breath, and awareness to release deep tension.

2. Meditation & Mindfulness:
Daily guided and silent sittings, pranayama, mantra meditation, Yoga Nidra, and journaling cultivate insight and clarity.

3. Emotional Awareness & Therapeutic Application:
The course explores Yin Yoga as a doorway to emotional balance — addressing stress, anxiety, trauma, and sleep issues through gentle movement and breath.

4. Energy Body Study:
Learn the subtle body system — chakras, nadis, meridians — and their correlation with Yin postures and healing outcomes.

5. Teaching Methodology:
Voice modulation, cueing, theming, use of props, and holding safe energetic space for students form a key part of the program.

6. Laughter Yoga Module:
Taught by Sukhvinder Chaitanya (trained under Dr. Madan Kataria), this joyful element brings emotional release, inner playfulness, and balance to the otherwise silent Yin work.

7. Philosophy & Lifestyle Integration:
Drawing from Taoist philosophy, Buddhist mindfulness, and the Yoga Sutras, the course builds a bridge between Eastern thought and modern psychology.

8. Self-Reflection & Teaching Practice:
Students teach daily Yin and Meditation sessions, receive structured feedback, and engage in daily Svadhyaya (self-study) to refine their authentic voice.

9. Self-Healing (Svadhyaya) Module:
The programme culminates in a self-evaluatory module where trainees journey inward, reflect on patterns, heal personal blocks and deepen alignment with their authentic teaching voice.

10. Business & Ethics:
Modules on marketing your yoga brand, ethical scope of practice, insurance, business logistics and class‐design unify the training into real-world readiness.

Why this training stands apart
While many teacher-trainings focus on dynamic flows or broad yoga styles, this one dive deep into stillness, subtle anatomy and the art of teaching spaciousness. It is ideal for those whose practice resonates with reflection, introspection and therapeutic potential. The inclusion of Laughter Yoga adds a vibrant, counter-intuitive dimension—inviting joy as an entry-point to meditation.

Ideal candidate

  • Practitioners drawn to gentle, internal modalities and interested in therapeutic, mindful, or healing-based teaching.
  • Yoga teachers seeking to add Yin, meditation and restorative sequencing to their skill-set.
  • Those who wish to teach in settings that require slower pace, deeper reflection, emotional release or therapeutic support.

Outcome
On completion, graduates are certified as Yin Yoga & Meditation Teachers (200-hour level), eligible for registration as RYT® 200. They leave equipped to design and teach meditative, slower-paced classes and to hold space for students with emotional, joint or mobility needs. They also receive training in how to weave laughter and stillness into transformative sessions.

200-Hour Yoga Therapy Teacher Training

The 200-hour Yoga Therapy Teacher Training from Yoga Chaitanya is a highly integrative course designed for those who wish to specialise in therapeutic yoga, Ayurveda-informed lifestyle coaching, and mindful movement for chronic conditions. The programme typically spans 22-25 days/22 nights

Main Features & Curriculum

  • Therapeutic Foundations: Comprehensive study of yoga as therapy—study of lifestyle disorders, stress physiology, musculoskeletal dysfunctions, Ayurveda’s frame of dosha, and how to create yoga-therapeutic protocols for real-world clients
  • Anatomy & Physiology: Emphasis on alignment‐based practice (Iyengar style), biomechanics, functional anatomy of spine, joints, digestion, nervous system; students learn how to adapt postures safely for chronic illness, injury recovery and ageing.

Graduates are positioned to serve clients with genuine health-wants, chronic conditions and deeper transformation goals.
