Sukhvinder Singh (Chaitanya)
Yoga Teacher
Born into a spiritually grounded Sikh family in India, Sukhvinder Singh (spiritually named “Chaitanya”, meaning “consciousness”) began his yogic and Vedic education at age 13, alongside an engineering / corporate career that lasted nearly a decade. Following deep introspection and repeated pilgrimages to ashrams focused on Vipassana, mystic rose therapy, and meditative healing modalities, he committed fully to teaching yoga and meditation.
As Founder & Director of Yoga Chaitanya International Institute, he leads retreats and Yoga teacher training courses.
His certifications include:
- ERYT 500 & YACEP (Yoga Alliance USA) in Ashtanga Vinyasa, Vinyasa Flow, Yin Yoga, Yoga Therapy (Iyengar style) & Ayurveda.
- Laughter Yoga Teacher from the International Laughter Yoga University.
- Meditation Teacher from OSHO International Pune.
With over 20,000 hours of teaching experience across India, Russia, Lebanon, Taiwan, China, and Thailand, his style is characterized by the seamless integration of scientific precision with classical yogic philosophy and the meditative dimension of practice.
In his words: “the world of 21st-century stress needs a synthesis of tradition and modern science” — and his teacher-training programmes are built with that premise.
Students frequently praise his dual-mode approach: high-energy Ashtanga/Vinyasa sessions that build vitality and resilience, alongside deeply still Yin & meditative practices that anchor the nervous system and open access to inner intelligence. He invites trainees to not only master postures and sequencing, but to embody yoga as a lived philosophy: clarity of mind, freedom of body, authenticity of expression.
